Project Manager - Mechanical Fitter
Based at the Dover Office & surrounding areas
I curently have a fantastic opportunity for a driven and organised Project Manager to join our team. Working from the Dover site, you will play a key role in managing and delivering onsite projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role requires a proactive individual who can oversee the full lifecycle of projects, including surveys, technical scoping, quotations, delivery, and commissioning.
You will be expected to uphold all health & safety requirements and ensure full compliance with our quality, environmental and safety standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).
Key Responsibilities
- Attend client sites to assess new and existing enquiries
- Gather and interpret full client requirements, producing detailed specifications and capturing all survey information with photographs
- Upload complete site survey data into the company job costing system to ensure transparency
- Liaise with suppliers and specialist subcontractors to compile accurate pricing, including labour estimates
- Produce and issue detailed scopes of work and pricing documents for the tendering team
- Once awarded, procure materials and coordinate subcontractor input (with support from the Planning Coordinator/Administrator)
- Prepare and issue job-specific RAMS and any required client safety documentation
- Attend onsite client meetings as needed before or during project delivery
- Support the mobilisation of site teams where required
- Manage projects throughout delivery, ensuring RAMS and company/client procedures are always followed
- Review and approve subcontractor RAMS and ensure compliance onsite
- Assist with commissioning activities and prepare QA/commissioning documentation when required
- Work closely with the Operations Manager on any project-related workshop activities
Skills, Experience & Qualifications (Ideal but Not Essential)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Full UK driving licence
- Good understanding of onsite health & safety requirements
- Confined Space training or knowledge (training can be provided)
- Water Hygiene training or awareness of sewerage/clean water hygiene (training can be provided)
- Engineering background, preferably within Water Utilities or the Power Industry
- Strong communication abilities for both client interaction and site team coordination
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
