Job description
Our client, a renowned company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled SMT/Pick and Place Operator to join their team in Waterlooville, Hants on a temp to perm basis.
Position Details:
Position: Production Assembler, Pick & Place Operative
Reporting to: Production Manager
Main Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining the SMT Pick & Place machines and adhering to stringent health & safety requirements, including:
- Operating screen printing machine
- Programming and setup of Pick & Place machines
- Programming and maintaining reflow oven
- PCBA assembly involving SMT and PTH soldering
- Cable assembly, involving the use of crimp tools
- Electro-mechanical assembly
- Working from customer BOMs/drawings to ensure that manufacturing is completed to required standards
- PCBA rework
Job Requirements:
- Ability to operate Pick & Place machine essential
- Experience in off-line programming of Pick & Place machines (Juki etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Excellent component recognition and knowledge
- Ability to work with fine pitch components under a microscope
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information
- Capacity to prioritise a busy workload and excel under pressure
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:00
