We’re excited to launch our youth employment charity initiative for the third year and we'd love you to join! At Matchtech, we’re proud to partner with The Talent Tap, a social mobility charity that works with talented 18-22-year-olds from communities across the UK where access to professional opportunities is often limited by geography and socio-economic background.
Many of the young people The Talent Tap support are aspiring to careers in STEM and business functions such as HR, finance and procurement. Careers in these fields are often shaped by early access to industry insight, professional networks and recruitment know-how. For young people growing up outside major employment hubs, particularly in coastal and rural communities, these opportunities are simply less visible and harder to access.
That’s where your experience can make a real difference. We’re asking for just 1.5 hours of your time to offer a talented young person practical employability support, through a mock interview, CV review or a focused careers conversation.
Why get involved?
- Reach talent that is often overlooked due to geography or background.
- Make a lasting, practical impact on a young person’s future.
- Connect with emerging talent.
How it works
- Sessions take place between 25th March - 15th April
You can choose to offer:
- A mock interview with structured feedback
- A careers conversation about your role, sector or pathway
- CV or application support
Total time commitment is 1.5 hours, including 30 minutes preparation
You’ll receive the student’s CV and clear guidance in advance, including example questions if you’re running a mock interview. If you or your team would like to take part, please sign up here.
