Job description
Our client is currently seeking a Senior Traffic Signals Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary transport technology team.
This is a permanent position offering a unique opportunity to provide technical leadership on projects spanning both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing technical leadership on traffic signals projects
- Ensuring the highest levels of quality in project deliverables
- Working on projects in both the public and private sectors
- Designing and validating MOVA and SCOOT systems
- Travelling to various site locations as project demands dictate
- Utilising CAD and traffic signals design software such as LinSig
- Applying CDM 2015, health & safety management, and environmental standards
- Project management and adhering to Conditions of Contracts
Job Requirements:
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
- Significant experience in the traffic signals industry
- Strong knowledge of relevant design standards, best practice guidance, and legislation
- Experience with MOVA and SCOOT design, validation experience desirable
- UTC database experience an advantage
- Competent in the use of CAD and LinSig
- Knowledge of health & safety management, quality, and environmental standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
