Job description
Our client, a global leader in engineering, procurement, construction, and installation services for the energy industry, is currently seeking a Lead Operations Engineer to join their team. With a focus on renewables, our client strives to deliver innovative solutions to their clients and has a strong track record of successful projects.
As the Lead Operations Engineer, your primary mission will be to lead the readiness of the semi submersible heavy lift vessel and its associated marine spread, as well as act as the project representative on-board the vessel during offshore construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare technical documents related to work package(s)
- Follow-up on procurement and logistics plans related to work package(s)
- Review installation engineering of work package(s)
- Lead subcontracting activities associated with work package(s)
- Interface with Vessel Management Team, ASSET, and OPERATIONS departments for preparations of Mobile Assets and vessel
- Coordinate project qualifications and tests (FAT / SIT) with fabrication yards
- Lead mobilisation and demobilisation activities of vessel and associated marine spread
- Interface with Project Marine Advisor for vetting of vessels (Marine assurance plan)
- Participate in Operations Review and Project Risk Assessment process
- Coordinate offshore operations on-board the vessel as project representative
- Follow-up on project close-out and invoicing process
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also support the Project Operations Manager (or delegate) in relation to the readiness of the vessel.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in offshore operations and floating wind
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to develop and review technical documents
- Excellent coordination and project management skills
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with various departments
