Job description
Our client, a prominent IT firm, is seeking a skilled C# Contractor to join their team on a temporary basis. The main purpose of this role is to upgrade the .NET Framework and associated tools and dependencies within core applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a development professional with a strong background in .NET and API interaction to contribute to significant software enhancement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upgrade the .NET Framework and associated tools within core applications
- Ensure smooth integration and interaction with various APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
- Utilise Microsoft Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Jira for project management
- Manage code repositories using Git
- Develop and maintain applications using .NET Framework 4 onwards and .NET Core 3.1 onwards
- Implement solutions using ASP.NET Core (MVC and Razor), Dapper, and Entity Framework
- Employ testing frameworks, MailKit, Hangfire, and Castle dependency injection for robust application development
Job Requirements:
- Experience in API interaction and working within an agile environment
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Azure DevOps (ideal), GitHub, or Jira
- Knowledge of Git repositories
- Technical expertise in .NET Framework 4 onwards, .NET Core 3.1 onwards, ASP.NET Core (MVC and Razor)
- Experience with Dapper or similar micro-ORM, Entity Framework, and essential libraries like Newtonsoft.Json, N-Log
- Understanding of testing frameworks and tools like MailKit, Hangfire, and Castle dependency injection
