Are you a proactive B2B sales professional with a technical edge? Do you thrive on managing key client relationships while identifying new commercial opportunities?

Our client, a market-leading manufacturer of electro-mechanical components-including switches, LED indicators, panel solutions, and joysticks-is seeking a Key Account Manager to oversee and grow relationships across the South, South West, and Home Counties. This role offers the perfect mix of autonomy, technical engagement, and long-term client development in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The Role

You'll join a highly successful national sales team, taking responsibility for a portfolio of over 100 accounts in your region. You'll spend around 3 days per week meeting clients, identifying new projects and growth opportunities, and 2 days working from the head office or home, ensuring full visibility of project pipelines, forecasts, and strategy.

This is a key customer-facing position, ideally suited to someone with strong communication skills and a technical background in electro-mechanical or industrial automation products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts across your territory
  • Develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach and industry networking
  • Build long-term client relationships with a strong understanding of customer projects and technical needs
  • Prepare tailored sales strategies and value propositions
  • Forecast regional sales performance and track against targets
  • Conduct regular client visits to support design-in activity and build product awareness
  • Collaborate with the wider sales team to convert leads and share insights

What We're Looking For

  • Proven B2B sales experience - ideally within electro-mechanical components
  • Familiarity with products such as switches, LED indicators, panel-mounted components, or joysticks
  • Technically curious and able to discuss product specs and application use cases
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and organised, able to manage a diverse and growing client base
  • Valid UK Driving Licence

What's On Offer

  • Competitive salary - up to £50,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus scheme and performance incentives
  • Company car
  • Hybrid working model with autonomy and flexibility
  • Ongoing development within a globally recognised engineering group

If you're looking to build a long-term career with a technically innovative business where you can develop strong customer relationships and make a real commercial impact, this could be the role for you.
