Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle of complex drainage schemes-from initial concept through to completion-independently.
- Conduct investigations, gather, and analyse data to inform design decisions.
- Produce feasibility studies, technical designs, and concise reports.
- Prepare and develop funding bids on behalf of the client.
- Deliver both preliminary and detailed drainage designs in line with DMRB, Local Design Specs, Sewage Sector Guidance, CDM2015, and BIM standards.
- Draft and assemble contract documents ready for procurement.
- Manage contract administration duties efficiently.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure quality and compliance.
- Ensure health, safety, and welfare for yourself and your team.
- Support the development of colleagues and act as a line manager when required.
- Work confidently with Civil 3D/AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, and the Microsoft Office suite.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway drainage engineering.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D/AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Understanding of DMRB, Local Design Specs, Sewage Sector Guidance, CDM2015, and BIM standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical designs and reports.
