Our client, a major player in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team based in Manchester. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of significant and diverse civil engineering projects, providing essential quantity surveying expertise within the water industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels
- Cost management and project forecasting
- Drafting and updating monthly CVRs, cost and commercial plans
- Subcontract procurement, negotiation, and financial accounting
- Preparation of project applications for payment to final account settlement
- Liaison with clients and third parties on commercial issues
- Managing contract and subcontract agreements, primarily IChemE and NEC forms
- Supporting internal commercial processes
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the construction / water industries
- Knowledge of IChemE and NEC forms of contract
- Experience in commercial management & Quantity Surveying
- Proven experience in monthly forecasting and cost analysis
Desirable:
- Membership of RICS or similar professional body
- CSCS card
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- Experience managing or mentoring team members
