Senior Bid Manager - Civil Engineering & Infrastructure
Location: Walsall (with hybrid working and travel to regional offices)

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to join a well-established and forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of UK infrastructure delivery.
In this pivotal role, you'll lead the development and submission of high-quality, winning bids - working closely with senior leadership, technical specialists, and commercial teams to secure new projects that align with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop business opportunities aligned with the company strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation of PQQs, tenders, and commercial submissions.
- Develop clear bid strategies and manage risk and governance processes.
- Write and review high-quality, compelling responses with input from technical teams.
- Oversee bid handovers to operational teams following contract award.
- Mentor and support bid managers and coordinators to drive best practice.
About You
Essential:
- Background in civil engineering, infrastructure, or commercial bid management.
- Proven experience leading successful multi-disciplinary bid teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of risk and governance.
- Excellent written communication skills for technical and persuasive content.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
Desirable:
- Chartered or Incorporated status (or working toward it).
- Experience within civil, MEICA, or built environment sectors.
- Process improvement and business development experience.
