Contract: Long‑term PAYE (with potential for permanent)
Shift Patterns Available: 2× Late Shifts | 1× Night Shift
- Early: 06:00-14:15 (Mon-Thu) | 06:00-12:00 (Fri)
- Late: 14:00-22:15 (Mon-Thu) | 12:00-18:00 (Fri)
- Night: 22:00-06:15 (Mon-Thu) | 18:00-00:00 (Fri)
Rates (Level 1 - PAYE / inc. holiday)
- Basic: £16.04 | £18.37 | OT: £24.05 | £27.55 | Sun: £32.07 | £36.73
- Early (+10%): £17.64 | £20.20 | Late (+25%): £20.04 | £22.96 | Night (+33%): £21.33 | £24.43
The Opportunity
We're recruiting Test Technicians to join a growing aerospace manufacturer, supporting the testing of hydraulic components including pumps, motors and valves used across civil and military aircraft.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operate pressure and fuel test rigs
- Carry out leak checks, torque and flow verification
- Shim and adjust components to required settings
- Read and follow technical drawings and test procedures
- Record results accurately (manual & electronic)
- Work to DESAR, 5S and TPM standards
- Raise and manage non‑conformances
What You'll Need to Succeed
Essential:
- Experience testing mechanical valves (pressure/fuel systems)
- Understanding of hydraulic systems
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Knowledge of leak testing, torque and flow measurement
- Experience with shimming and adjustments
Desirable:
- Aerospace or MOD background
