Our client is a trusted delivery partner operating across major DNO and National Grid frameworks, including National Grid, SSEN, and UKPN. With a strong forward order book and continued investment in critical infrastructure, they are looking to employ experienced Site Managers to support ongoing and upcoming Transmission & Distribution projects.
This is a long-term, permanent opportunity offering stability, continuity of work, and exposure to high-profile utility frameworks.


🔧 The Role


You will be responsible for the safe and compliant delivery of works across live utility environments, ensuring all activities meet framework, client, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:


  • Managing day-to-day site operations on DNO framework project.

  • Delivering substation construction, maintenance, and associated HV works

  • Ensuring strict compliance with client standards, CDM regulations, and HSG guidance

  • Leading site teams and subcontractors in live network environments

  • Coordinating works in line with outage planning and programme requirements

  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks

  • Managing RAMS, permits, and site documentation

  • Proactively resolving site and programme challenges

  • Mentoring and developing site teams

👷 About You


You'll be a safety-focused Site Manager with proven experience delivering works on DNO frameworks.
Essential:


  • Previous experience as a Site Manager within T&D, DNO, Utilities/Civils or National Grid environments

  • Strong understanding of utility framework requirements and compliance

  • SMSTS

  • First Aid

  • NRSWA

  • Confident leadership and stakeholder management skills


Desirable:


  • Direct experience on National Grid, SSEN, or UKPN frameworks

  • Background in substation builds, HV electrical works, or cabling
