The Role
The Senior Java Developer will join a technical team responsible for the development, customization, and enhancement of applications built on the Calypso platform, with a strong focus on collateral management and cash processing.
This role combines hands-on development with close collaboration with business and functional teams, contributing directly to the stability and evolution of mission-critical financial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java applications within the Calypso framework
- Support and enhance solutions related to collateral and cash management in back-office operations
- Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues to ensure high system availability and performance
- Participate in code reviews, contributing to development best practices and quality standards
- Support the integration of Calypso with other systems within the wider technology landscape
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across development and delivery processes
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 6-9 years of experience in Java development within complex system environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Calypso (highly relevant for this role)
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Solid understanding of back-office operations in investment banking, particularly collateral and cash
- Strong knowledge of software development principles and methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative teams
