Our client, a leading expert in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior SHEQ Advisor to join their team for a major project in United utilities region. This permanent position offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that values diversity, creativity, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding the approach to managing SHEQ risk and delivering best-in-class performance.
- Supporting the implementation of policies, procedures, management systems, and risk controls to promote a positive SHEQ culture.
- Organising and supporting the execution of SHEQ assurance audits.
- Conducting or supporting accident/incident investigations.
- Working with project teams to address daily challenges and deliver collaborative SHEQ approaches.
- Highlighting opportunities for sustainable solutions through analysis of key performance data.
- Maintaining externally certified management systems.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience working as part of a SHEQ team.
- Ability to collect, analyse, and evaluate large volumes of data, maintaining data integrity.
- Skills in identifying trends in data and clearly articulating findings.
- Good understanding of legislation and Approved Codes of Practise.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging at all levels of the organisation.
- Confidence in decision-making and knowledge of when to escalate concerns.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Flexible approach to work in terms of both time and location.
