Our client, a leading manufacturer in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking several Certification Engineers to join their team on a 12-month remote working contract. The team specialises in developing and manufacturing innovative aircraft seats for business class, with a strong emphasis on design and team spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing test plans for product certification and preparing certification reports to ensure compliance with legal, aviation regulatory and OEM requirements
  • Providing expert advice on certification issues regarding design conformity, dynamic and static product testing, and the installation and integration of the product in the aircraft
  • Communicating timelines, risks, and other relevant factors with regard to certification within the internal global project team
  • Addressing risk factors and problems that may affect product certification, and communicating changes to the project team or department management
  • Developing solutions to problems and preparing associated reports and analyses
  • Collaborating closely with project teams, airlines, OEMs, installers, aviation authorities, and test laboratories to ensure compliance with the project plan
  • Representing the company at customer meetings and industry-relevant events
  • Supporting colleagues as an integral part of the certification team

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in product certification in aviation and in working with aviation OEMs
  • Familiarity with the regulatory requirements of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and other European and American aviation authorities
  • Strong communication and moderation skills
  • Analytical and precise way of working
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Willingness to embark on international business trips
