Salary: £31,000 - £40,000 + company car + overtime

Overview
We're working with a well-established operator within the highways sector, who are looking to hire a Site Engineer on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role supporting the safe and efficient delivery of highways works, with strong opportunities for development and overtime.
A key requirement for this position is a background in the installation or maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day site engineering activities to support successful project delivery
- Carry out setting out, site surveys, and quality checks
- Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and wider site teams
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, specifications, and budget
- Maintain accurate site records, drawings, and documentation
- Drive compliance with health & safety standards and site procedures
- Identify issues early and support practical, safe solutions on site
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Site Engineer role within highways / civils
- Background in installation or maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment (essential)
- Good understanding of site engineering methods and construction processes
- Strong working knowledge of health & safety requirements
- Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate across teams
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience
