Our client, a leader in the aerospace sector, is seeking a WIP Administrator for a 12-month contract based in Wimborne. This role is essential within highly regulated engineering environments, where meticulous stock control and management of Work in Progress (WIP) are critical to maintaining production flow and overall operational integrity. If you possess strong organisational skills, experience in inventory control, and a keen eye for detail, this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick and issue stock parts to works orders, updating the ERP system accurately
  • Maintain quality, batch control, and traceability of all parts during picking, storage, and movement
  • Package all items for safe transport and storage preservation
  • Manage storage of WIP to ensure correct material control
  • Execute inventory transactions within ERP/MRP systems involving material movement
  • Adhere to safety, environmental, and health principles in all operational activities (FTIS)
  • Participate in 5S activities, supporting housekeeping and safety standards
  • Support management with additional duties as required within a fast-paced environment

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working in stores, warehouse, or inventory control, ideally within a highly regulated industry such as aerospace or defence
  • Understanding of WIP processes and ERP/MRP systems
  • Confidence in using digital inventory tools and computer systems
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to follow established processes and prioritise effectively
  • Reliable, proactive, and adaptable in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude
