A Service Support Engineer role, providing operational support for security and monitoring systems across Heathrow Airport. The role supports critical infrastructure as part of long-term service and upgrade contracts (including a 5‑year Genetec support agreement).

- Hours: 37.5 per week - days & nights
- Pay Rate: £36-£39 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line and on-site/remote support for CCTV, ANPR, radar, body-worn cameras, sensors, intercoms, and related systems
- Perform preventative, planned, and corrective maintenance on hardware and software
- Install CCTV and ANPR equipment (day and night shifts)
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota to meet SLAs
- Produce reports, RAMS, permits, and support documentation
- Coordinate service and project activities with internal teams and Heathrow stakeholders
- Attend progress meetings and hand over documentation after installations
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong experience with CCTV VMS systems
- Hands-on experience with CCTV, ANPR, radar systems, and field installations
- IT security systems and networking knowledge
- Experience in live/operational environments
- Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with LAN, wireless, fibre/cabling, and enterprise telecoms advantageous
- Competent with MS Word and Excel
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in IT, networking, or engineering
- Educated to C&G, HNC, or A‑level standard
- Formal training in project management, networking, or IT systems desirable but not essential
