About the Role
We are a well-established, small sheet metal fabrication company seeking an experienced Press Brake / Laser Operator to join our skilled production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on operator who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a practical, close-knit environment.
You will play a key role in manufacturing high-quality sheet metal components, working primarily with CNC press brake and laser cutting machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake and laser cutting machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
- Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machine settings
- Produce accurate components to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Carry out first-off inspections and routine quality checks
- Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake and/or laser cutting machines
- Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience with machine setup and tooling changes
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Reliable, practical, and proactive attitude
Desirable Skills
- Experience with CNC programming or editing programs
- Broader sheet metal fabrication experience
- Forklift licence
Hours of Work
- Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am - 1:00pm
