Our client, a global veterinary care, is actively seeking an Oracle Lease Accounting Workstream Lead for a contract position. The role is integral to the Finance Transformation Programme, which aims to modernise and simplify finance operations, enhance data quality, and implement a new Oracle finance system to support the organisation's growth and operational excellence.

Role Purpose


The Oracle Lease Accounting Workstream Lead will collaborate with the system integrator, PWC, to ensure the successful delivery of Oracle lease accounting solutions. This includes design, implementation, and post go-live support, ensuring compliance with IFRS 16 and best practice processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for IFRS 16 / ASC 842 lease accounting standards
  • Interpret accounting policies and translate them into system configuration and processes
  • Support lease classification, ROU asset & lease liability calculations, and present value calculations
  • Ensure Oracle Fusion Lease Accounting configuration and optimisation
  • Lead or support end-to-end lease accounting implementation, including business requirement validation and solution design
  • Develop effective relationships with PWC, Genpact, and internal teams to ensure smooth programme delivery
  • Ensure accurate production of lease accounting journals, disclosure reports, and reconciliations
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement

Job Requirements:


Essential:

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly of IFRS 16 and ASC 842
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Lease Accounting (Fusion preferred) and Oracle Financials
  • Experience in ERP implementations and finance transformation programmes
  • Ability to bridge finance and technology, interpreting accounting requirements into system design


Desirable:

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud (Fusion) implementations
  • Lease data migration and cleansing experience
  • Managed lease accounting in an operational role


Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) - preferred
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Oracle certifications (desirable)
