Our client, a prominent organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Human Factors Engineer to join their team on a contract basis, supporting the TRINITY programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Vigilant lead Human Factors Integration (HFI) specialist in conducting human factors activities and embedding Human Factors into the TRINITY design.
- Engage with user groups and Human Factors stakeholders in workshops, trials, and User-Centred Design activities.
- Assess prototypes and mock-ups of TRINITY hardware and software solutions.
- Conduct detailed analyses such as task analysis, human error analysis, usability, and workload assessments.
- Support Integration Testing and verification activities.
- Produce reports and contribute to customer deliverables.
Job Requirements:
- A recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent qualification) in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or Engineering with specific Human Factors experience.
- Registered membership of the Chartered Institute of Human Factors (or eligibility for CIEHF Chartership via an equivalent body).
- Significant experience applying Human Factors methods in Defence or a safety-critical industry.
- Experience applying Def Stan 00-251 and working within multi-disciplinary teams on complex system integration and development projects.
Additional Information:
- This is a 12-month contract role, requiring a minimum of 3 days on-site at Christchurch.
- Security Clearance (SC) is required.
