Civil / Structural Engineer
Our client, a leading organisation in the power utilities sector, is currently seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves working extensively with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and solar projects, contributing significantly to the development of the energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing civil and structural frameworks for BESS and solar systems
- Conducting detailed analysis and calculations to ensure structural integrity and safety
- Collaborating with electrical engineers to integrate civil designs with 33Kv and 132kv electrical systems
- Managing project timelines and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Performing site inspections and providing technical guidance during construction phases
- Preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders
- Providing solutions to engineering challenges in the power utilities sector
- Maintaining effective communication with project teams, clients, and external contractors
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil and structural engineering within the power utilities sector
- Strong knowledge of BESS, solar systems, and related civil engineering principles
- Understanding of 33Kv and 132kv electrical systems and their integration with civil structures
- Proficiency in using engineering design software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
