Our client is seeking a dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their team in the data centre sector. This permanent role will be based in their London office, with some travel required to various project sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearheading day-to-day operations in the data centre environment
- Overseeing and optimising organisational processes
- Leading and managing turnkey projects with an emphasis on CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) systems
- Ensuring smooth operational workflows and adherence to project timelines
- Collaborating with contractors and consultants to achieve project objectives
- Reporting on operational performance and implementing improvements
- Maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Travelling to UK project sites as necessary
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in operations management, particularly within the data centre or similar industries
- Strong background in handling turnkey projects, particularly involving CSA & MEP
- Proficiency in managing and optimising operational processes
- Understanding of data centre project requirements and industry standards
- Technical degree or equivalent qualification preferred
- Experience working within a contractor or consultancy environment
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel to various project sites within the UK
