Overview

We are currently recruiting for experienced Site Engineers, Senior Site Engineers, and Supervisory-level candidates to support multiple civil engineering schemes across Suffolk.
These are freelance contract roles with immediate starts across two well-structured projects involving public realm and highways works.

Projects & Scope of Works

Suffolk (Starting asap)

• Footpath improvement works
• Installation of new kerbing & edgings
• Drainage upgrades
• Construction of a signalised crossing

Requirement:
A Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer capable of stepping into a supervisory/management role, overseeing 2 gangs on site.

Suffolk (Starting 22/06/26)

• Footpath improvements
• Drainage works
• Kerbing & edgings
• General civils packages

Requirement:
We are open to:

• Site Engineers
• Non-working Supervisors
• Works Managers

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works accurately
• Overseeing daily site operations and workforce (where required)
• Supervising subcontractors and gangs
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with programme
• QA, documentation, and reporting
• Liaising with site management and stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience in civil engineering / highways projects
• Strong knowledge of drainage, kerbing, edgings, and public realm works
• Ability to work independently and/or manage small teams
• Previous experience supervising gangs (desirable)
• Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
• CSCS card (essential)
