Job description
Mechanical Draughts Person (Piping & Steelwork)
Our client, a well-established mechanical engineering organisation, is currently seeking a Mechanical Draughts Person (Piping & Steelwork) to join their team. The company offers complete project services to a variety of industries including Petro-Chemical, Oil & Gas, Power, Water, and Pharmaceutical.
Main Purpose:
To produce piping isometrics and detailed steelwork drawings for the engineering/production department.
Key Attributes:
- Must be computer literate & proficient user of AutoCAD/drawing software
- Experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out site surveys, gathering detailed survey information and producing survey reports
- Carry out GA modelling & design activities of piping systems & supports
- Produce piping isometrics & detailed steelwork drawings suitable for fabrication
- Adhere to P&IDs when designing pipework drawings
- Draught & check detailed design drawings of piping systems & supports
- Prepare & check bill of materials
- Provide technical input during detailed engineering of projects
- Provide support and input into the preparation of construction work packs
Codes & Standards:
- Pressure vessel codes ASME VIII & PD5500
- ASME U & R stamp
- Pipe work codes ASME B31.3 / ASME B31.1
- P.E.D requirements including CE and UKCA Marking
- Welding standards to ASME IX & BS 15614
Employment / Terms / Benefits:
- Salary Range £40,000.00 to £50,000.00
