Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer - Water Treatment Industry
Location: South Coast (Hybrid Working)
Contract Type: Outside IR35, Contract Position
Position Overview: As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of electrical systems for water treatment facilities. Working in a collaborative environment, you will utilize your technical expertise to design, implement, and optimize electrical solutions that meet project requirements and industry standards. This is a contract position offering the opportunity for hybrid working, with two days in the office every fortnight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for water treatment plants, including power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and automation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs with overall project requirements.
- Perform detailed electrical calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Create and review technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and schematics.
- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluations of new technologies to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support project managers in coordinating project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in electrical design, preferably in the water treatment or related industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and electrical design tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
