Our client, a leading company in the energy sector, is currently seeking a Senior OHL Design Engineer to join their growing team in either of the following locations: Driffield, Hessle, Tadcaster, Derby, Belfast, and Whyteleafe. This is a permanent position for an experienced engineer to develop and deliver engineering solutions for Electricity Transmission and Distribution Projects (33 kV and above).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and specify steel overhead line structures and overhead line design systems.
• Manage projects to ensure timely achievement of deliverables, including financial management and site meetings.
• Oversee Health and Safety and CDM issues on projects, ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Provide technical expertise, review and develop company systems, and deliver technical training including mentoring Junior Engineers.
• Monitor and manage all design activities, verify work, and ensure compliance with Quality Procedures.
• Provide site supervision and verify proposed work procedures, designs, drawings, and method statements.
• Guide and train design teams, offering mentoring as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in TP141 OHL Design, Multi-Utility Design, Electrical Distribution Systems, Cabling Design, and Transmission.
• Proficient in industry software such as PLS CADD, PLS Tower (Power Line Systems), SAPS, or equivalent packages.
• Strong understanding of national and industry standards including BS EN 50341 and the ENATS suite.
• Relevant degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, with a background in Maths (A-level or equivalent).
• Aspiration for or current membership of a professional body such as MICE, MIStructE, MIET.
