Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfil the council's duty as the Lead Local Flood Authority
- Provide consultation responses to planning applications concerning surface water flood risk and drainage
- Track and monitor consultations from the Local Planning Authority
- Provide responses within 21 days of receiving consultations
- Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure effective flood risk management
- Participate in office team days on Mondays for collaborative work
Job Requirements:
- Experience in flood risk engineering and flood risk management
- Strong understanding of surface water flood risk and drainage
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in tracking and monitoring consultation responses
- Ability to provide timely and accurate responses within set deadlines
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work from home with occasional office days
