Job description
My Tier 1 contractor has teamed up with National Highways to deliver the A47 road improvement scheme to reduce congestion and improve safety on the A47. As such, they are looking for a Senior Engineering Surveyor to join their infrastructure team. The role will primarily be based on-site, with initial work at their A428 office in St Neots, followed by a transfer to the A47 office in Thurrock.
What you'll do:
- Support the Chief Engineering surveyor and or the Engineering survey manager in co-ordination across all technical work streams
- Develop the engineering survey teams to meet project needs.
- Ensure that the project have the appropriate survey control network to fulfil the construction requirements.
- Setting out the works in accordance with the contract requirements before work is programmed to commence.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying, or ONC/B Tec in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying and previous experience as an Senior Engineering Surveyor
- Extensive awareness of appropriate survey instruments, software and working methods.
- Full professional Membership of CICES or equivalent body
- People management skills
- Commercial acumen
