Job description
This position is in the British Virgin Islands and will require permanent relocation which is supported by my client.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Marine Electronics Technician or similar role in the marine industry, working with brands like B&G, Simrad, Raymarine, Garmin, and Maretron.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of marine electronic systems (radar, sonar, GPS, communication devices), NMEA2000, SeatalkNG, ABYC, and NMEA standards.
- Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or certification in marine electronics preferred. ABYC and NMEA certifications are a plus and will be required after hire.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, proficiency in English, and the ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams. Computer literacy is essential.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Safety Focus: Commitment to safety standards and regulations.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in maintenance and repairs.
- Interpersonal Skills: Positive attitude, professionalism, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces, including flexible hours and emergency responses.
Supervision: The Marine Electronics Technician will report directly to the Operations Manage
