Job description
1st/2nd line IT support Engineer required by my client a leading British Manufacturing company.
Providing 1st /2nd line support for ServiceDesk Incidents and requests.
Engage with EMEA IT Support team
Ensures all support tickets are logged and actioned in a timely manner.
Ensures any urgent issue or request is immediately highlighted to a senior member of the team
Completes desktop/laptop builds/configurations
Manages the telephone system to ensure the configuration is maintained
EMEA InfoSec team in ensuring all vulnerabilities are patched in a timely manner.
Keep IT Equipment cage tidy and to manage the hardware asset database in ServiceNow. Reporting to IT procurement when supplies are becoming low.
Organise the safe destruction and recycling of old IT equipment and abide by WEEE waste standards
Essential skills required Include:
Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and M365
Degree in Computer Networks (or similar)
2 years' experience working in a support environment
Appreciation of Virtualisation
An awareness and interest in networking, routing, firewalls and client/server applications
Peripheral Installation and Support - Phone, Headset, Printers etc
Customer service based - ability to be flexible and use different approaches in different situations
Strong communication - Being able to convey information to other employees clearly and simply
Strong attention to detail.
