Job description
Our client, operating within the HTP sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to join the team for a permanent position in Brackley. This role is part of the prestigious HS2 project, focused on delivering civil engineering works along the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, and materials
- Working with the setting-out team and overseeing junior engineers
- Identifying and resolving technical problems on site in collaboration with senior team members and the Sub-Agent
- Monitoring and coordinating subcontractors to ensure works are completed to contractual requirements
- Ensuring all team members have current information and resources required
- Assisting in the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans
- Contributing to financial forecasting
Job Requirements:
- HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in Earthworks/Civils (essential)
- Knowledge and practical application of site engineering activities
- Construction supervision skills
- CSCS card (white card minimum, no green cards)
- Full driving licence
