Job description

The Role
Engineering at our clients base demands a comprehensive understanding of engine installation, fuel systems, hydraulics (including testing), and domestic water systems. You will work with engine control systems, basic electrical components, and cooling systems, in addition to aligning engine shafts and gearboxes. While power tools will be provided, candidates must have access to their own hand tools such as screwdriver sets, tape measures, and levels.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate possesses the ability to interpret and comprehend scaled drawings (1:10s) effortlessly. They thrive under pressure, consistently delivering high-quality work within tight tolerances and on high-value products. A relentless pursuit of perfection, coupled with a receptive and engaged attitude, characterizes the ideal candidate. Previous experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Marine specific experience is not required. Candidates from an automotive mechanic background will be considered.


Working Patterns
Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 07:00-15:30
Night Shift: Monday-Thursday, 18:00-04:30 Weekend overtime opportunities are abundant.
Pay Rates
£14.00p/h PAYE (Semi-Skilled)
£15.05-£16.05p/h PAYE (Skilled)
£20.06p/h - 21.40p/h PAYE - Nights Overtime is readily available and compensated at an increased rate. Hours exceeding the basic 40-hour working week will be remunerated at time and a half for Monday to Saturday and double pay for Sundays and bank holidays.
