Our client, a leading Investment Management Fund in the renewables sector, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their Renewable Development team in Glasgow. This permanent role supports the Head of Delivery in managing the development and delivery of renewable energy projects. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the renewables industry and work on high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and delivery of renewable energy projects during the construction phase.
  • Manage key pre-construction and construction activities including grid agreement interfaces, contract procurement, and project compliance.
  • Administer contracts, including tracking performance and managing payment processes.
  • Monitor and ensure Health, Safety and Environmental compliance throughout projects.
  • Resolve ad-hoc issues and propose innovative solutions.
  • Oversee all-round tasks to gain comprehensive project life cycle knowledge.
  • Support senior team members as needed.
  • Ensure successful project handover to the asset management team upon completion.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or Planning (degree level as a minimum).
  • Experience within the renewable energy industry, particularly with solar PV, battery storage, or onshore wind projects.
  • Experience in the delivery of projects at various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with contract preparation, negotiation, and administration.
  • Understanding of grid operator interactions and managing grid connections.
  • Experience with stakeholders including regulators and local communities.
  • Awareness of financial management, project economics, and energy markets.
  • Proficiency in technical software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, PVSyst).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation relevant to construction projects.
