We're looking for a qualified Health & Safety Advisor to join our Energy team and play a key role in supporting busy operational teams. You'll help embed best‑in‑class H&S practices, understand real on‑site challenges, and create communications that genuinely resonate.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll act as a trusted H&S partner across the business, providing professional advice, influencing best practice, and supporting colleagues to meet their legal and moral responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice and guidance on Health, Safety and Environmental matters at all levels
  • Support colleagues in meeting legal HSE responsibilities
  • Promote and embed best practice across operations
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders in line with group standards
  • Monitor compliance with HSE legislation and Business Assurance procedures
  • Audit operational sites to ensure HSEQ compliance
  • Support improvements to processes, procedures and systems of work
  • Carry out inspections, audits and site tours to agreed standards and timelines
  • Support project teams within your area of specialism
  • Investigating incidents and support continuous improvement
  • Deliver training and toolbox talks
  • Analyse HSEQ data and support reporting through management systems
  • Champion clear, timely and effective HSEQ communications

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • IOSH membership (NEBOSH qualification preferred)
  • Proven experience delivering SHE in a construction environment
  • Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and management systems
  • Awareness of environmental aspects and their impact on construction activity
  • Understanding of how health, safety and wellbeing support operational performance
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence and advise
  • Full, valid driving licence in line with company policy
