Our client, a prominent company in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of major infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient, robust, and accurate planning to meet and exceed project and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure organisational and project-level planning standards are exceeded across all projects and adhere to planning & control procedures
  • Assist with the tender, pre-construction, and delivery of opportunities and live projects by developing and maintaining detailed project plans
  • Ensure project plans capture the full project scope, considering resources and meeting contractual & programme-specific requirements
  • Develop and establish optimal construction methodologies and logic sequences by drafting programmes and preparing logistics diagrams
  • Proactively identify opportunities and risks in the plan
  • Monitor the critical path and key milestones, advising the delivery team on potential changes
  • Develop programmes to demonstrate the impact of change in compliance with contractual and project-specific requirements
  • Visit sites, attend progress meetings, and update short-term plans, progress reports, and construction programmes
  • Manage all project reporting requirements, including monthly programme submission, weekly lookaheads, and volumetric analysis
  • Review, interrogate, and integrate subcontract programmes into the project programme

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced P6 experience and knowledge of NEC
  • Experience in leading collaborative planning processes and ability to interrogate and draw information from drawings
  • Proven ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences under pressurised situations
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and project objectives while supporting team members
  • On site experience and understanding how a project works from inception to completion
  • Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction or equivalent
