Our Water sector contractor client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support on their Thames Water framework on a permanent basis based out of Crossness in the SE2 area.

This role will be within the water and wastewater capital project delivery team delivering large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

Our client enhance and extend asset life in Water/Utilities, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards, problem solving in the engineering and infrastructure space.

This role will require 2/3 days a week working in Crossness Pumping Station offices in the SE2 area of London.

Responsibilities

  • Manage change through the Early Warning and variation process with both Client and Subcontractor
  • Management of Subcontractors - agreement of terms through to final account
  • Support/Produce CVR's / Applications for Payments
  • Assist with cost forecasts
  • Closely monitor staff/material/plant and other resources on site per project
  • Look for opportunities to maximise value and identify cost savings
  • Working closely with the commercial and operations team.

Skills/experience/qualifications

  • Have or be working towards BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification
  • Commercially astute
  • Previous commercial/construction experience - any broad Water/Utilities/Highways backgrounds will be of interest
  • Must be commutable to Crossness Pumping station 2 or 3 days a week
