Our client, a certified B Corp and leading investment management firm, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their Renewable Developments (DRD) team in Glasgow. This role is pivotal in identifying, developing, and delivering high-quality renewable energy projects into operation, supporting the Senior Project Manager across the entire project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and delivery of renewable energy projects during the development and construction phases.

  • Manage key pre-construction activities, including grid agreement interfaces, planning condition discharges, and general engineering tasks.

  • Procure and place contracts, while managing ongoing contract administration, performance tracking, and payment processes.

  • Monitor technical and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, ensuring adherence to CDM Regulations.

  • Resolve ad-hoc project issues and propose innovative, creative solutions to technical challenges.

  • Coordinate project handovers to the asset management team upon successful completion.

  • Support senior team members with diverse tasks to gain comprehensive knowledge of the project life cycle and business operations.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Planning, Environmental, or Ecology (degree level as a minimum).

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within the renewable energy industry (Solar PV, Battery Storage, or Onshore Wind preferred).

  • Proven experience in the development and delivery of projects at various stages of the lifecycle.

  • Strong understanding of contract preparation, negotiation, and administration.

  • Familiarity with grid operator interactions and managing the delivery of grid connections.

  • Experience managing diverse stakeholders, including regulators, statutory consultees, and local communities.

  • Awareness of project economics, financial management, energy markets, and UK consenting processes.

  • Proficiency in technical software such as AutoCAD, GIS, and PVSyst.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into commercial impact.

  • A proactive "roll up your sleeves" attitude with the ability to work autonomously and prioritize workloads.
