What You'll Be Doing
Designing and developing PLC software using platforms such as:
- Rockwell (Studio 5000)
- Siemens (TIA Portal)
- Schneider (EcoStruxure)
Developing and configuring HMI / SCADA systems, including:
- Rockwell FactoryTalk View (ME/SE)
- Schneider AVEVA, Citect, Vijeo Designer
- Siemens WinCC / WinCC Flexible
- Wonderware InTouch or similar platforms
Supporting full project delivery, including:
- Conceptual and detailed design
- System build, development, and integration
- Testing (Factory Acceptance Testing and Customer Acceptance Testing)
- Supporting site installation, Site Acceptance Testing, and commissioning
Contributing to system validation, testing, diagnostics, and fault-finding
Producing high-quality technical documentation (design specifications, test documentation, user manuals)
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, and project delivery functions
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience programming PLCs and/or SCADA systems in industrial environments
- Familiarity with IEC 61131 programming languages
- Experience supporting system testing, integration, or commissioning activities
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work effectively within collaborative project teams
