Are you a Control Systems Engineer with solid PLC experience looking to step beyond routine tasks and take real ownership of engineering challenges?

You'll be involved across the full project lifecycle, working on complex, safety‑critical systems from design through to testing and commissioning.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and developing PLC software using platforms such as:

    • Rockwell (Studio 5000)
    • Siemens (TIA Portal)
    • Schneider (EcoStruxure)
  • Developing and configuring HMI / SCADA systems, including:

    • Rockwell FactoryTalk View (ME/SE)
    • Schneider AVEVA, Citect, Vijeo Designer
    • Siemens WinCC / WinCC Flexible
    • Wonderware InTouch or similar platforms
  • Supporting full project delivery, including:

    • Conceptual and detailed design
    • System build, development, and integration
    • Testing (Factory Acceptance Testing and Customer Acceptance Testing)
    • Supporting site installation, Site Acceptance Testing, and commissioning
  • Contributing to system validation, testing, diagnostics, and fault-finding

  • Producing high-quality technical documentation (design specifications, test documentation, user manuals)

  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, and project delivery functions


What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Experience programming PLCs and/or SCADA systems in industrial environments
  • Familiarity with IEC 61131 programming languages
  • Experience supporting system testing, integration, or commissioning activities
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work effectively within collaborative project teams

Additional Information

  • Hybrid working, typically 2-3 days per week in the office (project dependent)
  • Flexible working hours to support work-life balance
  • UK travel required at key project stages (e.g. site visits and commissioning)
  • Security clearance: BPSS required (with eligibility for SC)
