Role details:
Our client, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a skilled PCB Layout Engineer to join their team in Stevenage on a contract basis. This role requires strong expertise in PCB design and layout, contributing to critical projects with high reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing full PCB design layouts based on electronic, mechanical, and environmental requirements
- Managing library services, technical support, component placement, signal routing, and peer reviews
- Creating final documentation ensuring compliance with design constraints and prevailing design rules
- Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time
- Ensuring the final hardware meets project deliverables and design requirements
- Adhering to company-specific design rules and processes throughout project execution
Job Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge and experience in PCB design processes and best practices
- Understanding of IPC standards for high reliability products
- Experience with PCB fabrication processes and technologies, including materials and stack-ups
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders
- Preferably, familiarity with Zuken CR5000 or CR8000
- Security Clearance (SC) required to start
- Ability to work both on-site (2-3 days per week) and remotely as needed
