Our client, a leading player in the Transmission and Distribution (T & D) sector, is currently seeking a Senior Site Engineer for an exciting contract role at the National Grid GGP CGNC project in Grimsby. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and executing substation construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating and overseeing temporary works, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Setting out and managing construction activities on-site
- Liaising with project stakeholders, including engineers and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution
- Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain high construction standards
- Managing project resources and schedules to ensure timely and within-budget project completion
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation for project progress and site activities
- Implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols on-site
Job Requirements:
- Experience in substation construction within the Transmission and Distribution (T & D) sector
- Strong understanding of high voltage (HV) systems and their construction processes
- Significant experience in temporary works co-ordination, with completion of a TWC course highly desirable
- Competence in setting out and managing on-site construction activities
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification within a relevant field
