Matchtech is supporting a key client with the requisition of a BIM Lead to join their Rail & Transit, Transportation Systems team in a permanent role. This is a unique opportunity to shape the digital backbone of transformative transit projects within the GTA and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and implement the project-wide BIM strategy aligned with client requirements and lifecycle needs
- Oversee digital design systems, including ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Develop and enforce the Design BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and BIM Uses
- Provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring consistent application of Civil 3D, Revit, and best practices
- Collaborate with Construction BIM teams to align digital delivery workflows
- Monitor Design BIM team performance and report insights, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to national/regional BIM methodologies
Job Requirements:
- Experience in BIM delivery for complex infrastructure projects, particularly within rail and transit environments
- Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, ProjectWise, ACC, and model-based collaboration tools
- Understanding and application of ISO 19650 standards
- Experience developing and enforcing BIM execution plans and ensuring compliance with BIM/CAD standards
- Proven leadership skills, managing senior designers, modellers, and multi-office teams
- Adaptability to evolving project environments and ability to drive clarity in complex digital workflows
- Bonus: Experience with Dynamo/Python scripting, design automation, or AR/VR applications in infrastructure modelling
