Location: UK → Austria (9-month secondment)
Salary: Up to £90,000 + package
The Opportunity
A leading international contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a major data centre programme in Austria.
You will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of high-value MEP and construction packages within a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Administer contracts (NEC / JCT or equivalent) and manage risk
- Control cost reporting, forecasting, and budget tracking
- Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and final accounts
- Identify and manage variations, change control, and claims
- Work closely with Project Managers and operational teams
- Ensure commercial performance is optimised across the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS on large-scale construction projects
- Experience within MEP, data centres, or major infrastructure preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and contract knowledge
- Experience managing subcontractor packages
- Ability to operate within high-value, fast-paced projects
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
