Matchtech is supporting a key client with the requisition of a Test & Commissioning Engineer for a contract position in Birmingham. This role will involve delivering hands-on testing activities across site-based systems, supporting the safe and efficient progression through both static and dynamic commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned testing activities in accordance with approved test plans and procedures
- Undertake a range of testing activities, including functional testing, interface testing, and fault investigation and support for rectification
- Accurately record, document, and submit test results in line with project requirements
- Support testing activities during night shifts and weekends where required to meet programme needs
- Work flexibly across multiple disciplines to maintain project progress and programme momentum
- Identify, escalate, and track defects and safety issues in a timely and proactive manner
Key Interfaces:
- Test, Integration & Commissioning (TIC) and Systems T&C Engineers
- Discipline Engineers across relevant systems
- Construction Supervisors and site teams
Job Requirements:
- 4-8 years' Experience in rail testing within commissioning environments
- Exposure to Light Rail, Metro, or Conventional Rail systems
- Proven ability to operate effectively within time-critical, fast-paced commissioning programmes
