General Foreman - Tunnelling & Civils

Rate: Dependent on experience
We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to join a leading tunnelling contractor on a major project based in Pakington.
This role will play a key part in delivering complex works including shaft sinking, tunnelling operations and civils, ensuring safe and efficient site delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations across tunnelling and civil works
- Supervise site teams and subcontractors
- Manage works involving shaft sinking, tunnelling, and associated infrastructure
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements
- Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and daily coordination
- Liaise with engineers, site management, and key stakeholders
- Order materials and manage site logistics to maintain programme delivery
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a General Foreman within tunnelling projects
- SMSTS
- Strong background in shaft sinking, civil, or water works
- Computer literate, with the ability to complete paperwork and use site systems
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
- Solid understanding of H&S procedures and site compliance
- Ability to work on fast-paced, technically complex projects
