Job Title: Building Surveyor
Location: Glascoed, Monmouthshire
Contract: 6‑month Contract (Inside IR35)
Rates: £30.41 ph Umbrella* | £22.69 ph PAYE

Due to the nature of the role, this position requires Security Clearance (SC), including the ability to obtain SC, complete BPSS checks, be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship, and have lived in the UK for the past 5 years.
The Opportunity
We're recruiting a Contracts Engineer / Building Surveyor to support estate and facilities management across a large, complex site. You'll play a key role in the inspection, maintenance and improvement of buildings, infrastructure and utilities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out detailed building condition surveys across site
- Prepare drawings (CAD), specifications and work schedules
- Develop maintenance plans and feasibility studies
- Support contract administration and project delivery
- Maintain PPM schedules and statutory inspection records
- Work with engineering teams to deliver compliant, efficient maintenance
- Manage budgets for building repairs and maintenance
- Promote strong Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) practices
What You'll Need to Succeed
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years' inspection experience (building, structural or similar)
- HNC or equivalent qualification
- Ability to produce technical reports and specifications
- Experience working within maintenance or infrastructure environments
Desirable:
- Building surveying background
- Experience in estates, utilities or facilities management
