Matchtech is supporting a key client with the requisition of a Senior/Lead Estimator to join their team within the infrastructure/rail sectors in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project-level cost planning and estimating activities
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Develop detailed estimates, cost plans, and Bills of Quantities
- Support cost benchmarking and database development
- Work closely with clients to provide accurate and strategic cost advice
- Provide leadership across major energy sector bids and projects
- Oversee and review estimating outputs across multiple workstreams
- Mentor and develop junior estimators
Job Requirements:
- Experience in estimating, particularly within the energy or large infrastructure sectors
- Strong estimating capability from concept through to detailed design
- Proficiency in tools such as CostX and On-Screen Takeoff
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
- Professional accreditation (CIQS, AACE or equivalent) preferred
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to manage client relationships and deliver under pressure
- Experience building and maintaining cost databases and benchmarks
