Our client is currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the design, planning, and delivery of highways infrastructure and active travel schemes
- Providing technical oversight and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
- Managing contracts under NEC4 conditions
- Engaging with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with community and regulatory expectations
- Supervising consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely
- Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Conducting regular site visits and inspections
- Preparing and presenting project reports and updates to clients and stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highways engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of highway design principles and relevant software
- Proficiency in contract management, particularly NEC4
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong leadership and team supervision abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
