Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security, Aerospace, and Manufacturing sectors, is seeking an SMT Technician to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform SMT soldering using a magnifier to IPC standards
- Inspect and test electronic components to ensure high-quality production
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on SMT equipment
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet project deadlines
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes and findings
- Identify and resolve any issues related to SMT assembly
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production process
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in SMT soldering techniques, especially using a magnifier
- Experience adhering to IPC standards in a production environment
- Strong understanding of electronic components and their functions
- Attention to detail and ability to conduct precise and high-quality work
- Problem-solving skills to identify and rectify any production issues
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Previous experience in Defence & Security, Aerospace, or Manufacturing sectors is advantageous
