Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security, Aerospace, and Manufacturing sectors, is seeking an SMT Technician to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform SMT soldering using a magnifier to IPC standards
  • Inspect and test electronic components to ensure high-quality production
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on SMT equipment
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet project deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes and findings
  • Identify and resolve any issues related to SMT assembly
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production process

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in SMT soldering techniques, especially using a magnifier
  • Experience adhering to IPC standards in a production environment
  • Strong understanding of electronic components and their functions
  • Attention to detail and ability to conduct precise and high-quality work
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and rectify any production issues
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Previous experience in Defence & Security, Aerospace, or Manufacturing sectors is advantageous
