Our client, a leading organisation within the highways sector, is currently seeking a Street Works Inspector on a contract basis. As a vital part of the team, you will ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and maintain high standards of work on highways and street construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting street works to ensure they meet NRSWA requirements
- Reporting and documenting any non-compliance issues
- Liaising with contractors and utility companies to address and resolve issues
- Monitoring work sites for safety and compliance with regulations
- Ensuring that traffic management measures are appropriate and effective
- Issuing notices and penalties for non-compliance as necessary
- Keeping accurate records of inspections and findings
- Providing guidance and support to contractors to ensure best practices are followed
Job Requirements:
- Experience in street works inspection or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of NRSWA regulations and guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Relevant certification or qualification in NRSWA
